Can A Fiber Cleaver Be Repaired?

Fiber cleaning equipment (such as fiber cutters) can be repaired by cleaning, adjusting the blade position, replacing the blade, etc. Specific repair methods should be determined according to the type of equipment and fault phenomenon. Here are some specific repair methods and maintenance recommendations:
Method of repair
Cleaning fiber optic pressure holder and blade
Clean the rubber surface and blade of the fiber optic support with an alcohol-infused cotton swab, especially if the cutting effect is poor.
Change the position of the blade.
When the cutting effect is bad, the position of the blade can be changed, that is, the effective position point of the rotating blade. The operation is to tilt the entire fiber cutter at a a 45-degree Angle, loosen the relevant screws, press a cotton swab or other sharp object against the small holes in the blade's surface, rotate the blade to a working position and tighten the screws.
Adjust blade height
If it is determined that the problem is the height of the fibre-optic cutting blade, the height can be adjusted. The operation is to push the knife rack into position after cutting, loosen the silver screw with a screwdriver and adjust the height by screwing the silver hexagon socket screw with a wrench. Lower the blade clockwise and increase the blade counterclockwise. When the adjustment is complete, turn the locking screw next to it clockwise.
Changing blades
If the blade is badly worn or aged, a new blade can be replaced. The blade was square. Theoretically, any point on the circle can be cut more than 3,000 times. Therefore, when the edge of the blade has been used from 1 to 12 or from 1 to 16, you can refer to the method of adjusting the edge of the blade from 1 to 12 or from 1 to 16 to a higher position. It can be reused for one cycle. However, if the blade is no longer usable, a new blade needs to be replaced.
Repair recommendations
Wash regularly
Clean fiber cutters regularly, including fiber optic pressure mounts, blades, knife frame, etc., to ensure the equipment is in a clean state.
Check the blade
Periodically inspect the blade for wear and tear. If the blade is found to be badly worn or aged, a new blade should be replaced in a timely manner.
Adjusting parameters
According to the cutting requirements and material properties, the cutting parameters such as cutting edge height and cutting speed are adjusted reasonably to ensure the best cutting effect.
Storage environment
Store fiber cutters in a dry, ventilated, dust-free environment to prevent dampness or contamination of equipment.
