How Do You Rotate The Blade On A Fiber Cleaver?

Fiber Optic Cleaver Blade Rotation Operation Guide
After long-term use, the blade of the fiber cleaver will gradually become blunt, affecting the cutting quality. To extend the life of the blade, most fiber cleavers are equipped with multiple rotatable blades. By rotating the blade regularly, you can effectively maintain the cutting effect and reduce the frequency of replacement. The following is a standard blade rotation operation process.

Required tools
Hex wrench or Allen wrench (depending on the specific model)

Product manual (for reference to structural instructions and operating details)

Operation steps
1. Turn off the device and disconnect
Before starting operation, be sure to turn off the cleaver, disconnect the power supply (if any), and ensure that there is no fiber residue or debris attached. If the device is connected to other systems, they should also be disconnected.

2. Open the cleaver
Open the upper cover of the device to expose the blade area. This is usually the operating position where the fiber is placed and cut.

3. Position the blade holder
The blade is generally installed in a rotatable circular blade holder. Some device blade holders are directly visible, while others require the protective cover to be removed first.

4. Loosen the locking screws
Use a hex wrench to gently loosen the screws that hold the blade in place. You don't need to completely remove them, just enough to allow the blade to rotate smoothly.

5. Rotate the blade
Gently rotate the blade to the next unused position. Most blade holders are numbered (e.g., 1 to 16) to help record and track usage.

6. Tighten the screws
Once the blade is aligned, re-tighten the screws to ensure it is securely locked to prevent movement during the cutting process.

7. Turn off the device
Close the top cover and check that all parts are in place and securely fixed.

8. Test cut verification
Perform several test cuts to confirm that the blade cuts smoothly and neatly. If burrs or uneven sections are present, you may need to readjust the blade position.

Recommendations for use
Record the blade position
After each rotation, it is recommended to record the number of the blade currently in use so that wear is evenly distributed and the life of the entire tool is extended.

Synchronous cleaning
After the blade rotation operation is completed, you can clean the cutting area to remove fiber debris and dust to keep the device clean.

Replace the blade in time
When all blade positions have been used, replace the new blade in time according to the instructions in the manual to ensure that the cutting quality is not affected.

By using each blade position reasonably and combining regular maintenance operations, the efficiency and stability of the fiber cleaver can be significantly improved, thereby achieving more efficient and accurate fiber processing results.
